Code of Ethics

PREMISE
This Code of Ethics establishes the ethical principles and behavioral-professional values ​​that DES&CON has defined for all members of the group, including collaborators. This document reflects the values ​​of integrity, responsibility and professionalism, which are fundamental to guarantee the correct and transparent exercise of the profession, respecting society, the environment and culture.

1. PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY
HONESTY AND TRANSPARENCY: All members within DES&CON must act honestly in all phases of the work, from design to implementation. Relationships with customers, suppliers and collaborators must be based on transparency, trust and mutual respect.
CONFLICTS OF INTEREST: Conflicts of interest that could compromise the objectivity of professional decisions must be avoided. Any potential conflicts must be communicated openly to customers and partners.
CONFIDENTIALITY: Sensitive information, whether relating to projects or clients, must be treated with the utmost confidentiality and must not be disclosed without the explicit consent of the parties involved.

2. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY: DES&CON must commit to promoting sustainable design practices that minimize environmental impact, favoring eco-compatible materials, reducing energy consumption and enhancing respect for the environment.
CULTURAL INTEGRATION: Architectural design must be sensitive to the cultural and social context in which it is inserted, promoting integration and respect for local traditions, without compromising ethical values ​​and progress.
SAFETY AND WELL-BEING: DES&CON must ensure that projects comply with all safety and accessibility regulations, contributing to the well-being of the people who will use them.

3. EXCELLENCE AND INNOVATION
QUALITY OF THE PROJECT: Each project must be carried out with care, creativity and attention to detail, aiming for excellence in every phase of the work.
PROFESSIONAL UPDATE: Members within DES&CONi are required to keep up to date on new technologies, regulations and trends in the architectural sector by participating in continuous training courses.
RESPONSIBLE INNOVATION: Innovation is encouraged, but always in compliance with current regulations and the architectural, urban and environmental context. New solutions must be tested and implemented responsibly.

4. COLLABORATION AND RESPECT
PROFESSIONAL COLLABORATION: Members within DES&CON must maintain a relationship of cooperation and mutual respect, both within the team and with external partners, suppliers and customers. Teamwork is essential to the success of the project.
RESPECT FOR COLLABORATORS´ RIGHTS: DES&CON is committed to ensuring safe, fairly paid working conditions that respect the rights of collaborators, promoting an inclusive environment free of discrimination.
PROMOTING DIALOGUE: Open and constructive dialogue between all team members and with clients is encouraged to ensure that each party´s ideas and needs are considered and respected.

5. RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS THE CUSTOMER
CLARITY OF CONTRACTS: Contractual relationships must be transparent, complete and understandable. The economic conditions, implementation times and any changes must be clearly defined from the beginning.
LOYALTY TO CUSTOMER OBJECTIVES: DES&CON must work to meet customer objectives and expectations, providing creative and practical solutions, without compromising the quality or integrity of the project.
CONTINUOUS ASSISTANCE: DES&CON is committed to providing continuous assistance during all phases of the project, from concept to implementation, and even subsequently, to guarantee full customer satisfaction.

6. LEGALITY AND PROFESSIONAL RULES
COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS AND LAWS: DES&CON must comply with all local, national and international regulations regarding construction, urban planning and safety, ensuring that all projects comply with legal provisions.
RESPECT FOR PROFESSIONAL RULES: Members within DES&CON must act in compliance with the ethical rules of the architectural profession, avoiding behavior that could compromise the image of the profession.
CONFIDENTIALITY: It is forbidden to spread false information regarding DES&CON, its professionals, collaborators or consultants. All customer information must be handled confidentially, protecting sensitive data and respecting professional secrecy.

7. RESPONSIBILITY TO THE COMMUNITY
POSITIVE IMPACT: DES&CON must commit to implementing projects that have a positive impact on the community, contributing to improving people´s quality of life and promoting sustainable development.
PARTICIPATORY DESIGN: Whenever possible, DES&CON encourages community involvement in the design phase, to ensure that the needs and expectations of the inhabitants are taken into consideration.
